Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 19, 2026

We want this site to work for everyone, including readers using a screen reader, a keyboard, or a browser set to large text.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML, with one h1 per page and headings in order, so the structure can be navigated by assistive technology.
  • A visible focus outline on every link, button and form field, and a skip-to-content link at the top of each page.
  • Text and background colours chosen to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast in both the light and dark themes.
  • A light/dark theme switch that also respects your operating system setting, and a layout that honours “reduce motion”.
  • Descriptive alternative text on images that carry information, and empty alt text on images that are purely decorative.
  • Layouts that reflow to a single column on small screens and stay usable at 200% zoom.

Known gaps

Some older posts may still have images with weak alternative text, and embedded content from third parties (video players, advertising) is not fully under our control. We fix what we find.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard to use, email hello@ourquestbegins.com with the page address and what went wrong, including the browser and assistive technology you use. We treat accessibility reports as priority fixes and will reply with a plan.
